Good season for tennis sport. Was looking for tennis shoes and found ASICS Gel Resolution 5 having good review but it comes with a $200 price tag pretty much everywhere. Went to ASICS store in QVB Sydney today and found out that they are having it on sales for $140 in store only! Knowing that Rebel sells them too and they do price match + 10% price beat, went straight to the Rebel shop on George street and bought a pair for $126! Awesome!

ASICS store also has Gel Speed for down to $133. Of course they have runners on sale too.

  Why by these instead of a pair of Nike Air? I'm interested to know why these Asics gel shoes are so popular.

    can't speak for nike, but I find ASIC make really good sport specific shoes, like indoor court and squash shoes.

    The same could be said about what makes Nike Air so popular? I don't wear Nike, only Asics & New Balance, both great shoes for walking/running. To think only one company makes a shoe worth wearing doesn't make any sense.

      I never said only Nike's are worth wearing so not sure what you're smoking. All I wanted to know is why Asics gel shoes are so popular as I see many people in the streets of Melbourne wearing these.
