What is my best option for a petrol mower under $100?

    Id say used but i havent seen many for under 100 used.

      yeah can't seem to find anything under $149 myself. $149 gets me this from bunnings. The area that needs to be mowed is about 40x50m so I'm thinking electric would be no good? Otherwise I can get this for $99. House is in the middle so 25M power cord would do it.

        40x50 is pretty huge. I have a small backyard, maybe 8x15 and have an electric mower but it struggles. Get a petrol one.

    I got a Tiger brand 118cc mower for $125 from Bunnings a while back, that Sprinter one looks a bit better in that it has a slightly bigger Briggs and Stratton motor. The one I got is good for what it is - it doesn't cut grass like a $600 Masport, but it does alright.

    You get what you pay for. I have a Talon 4 stroke one and it's lasted for over 7 years. Still going strong.

    Are you saying that you have half an acre of grass to mow (40m x 50m) ?
    How long do you think it will take you every week during growing season…
    You're going to need a self-propelled mower at least if you do have a half acre to mow.
    Even if you don't and your house is in the middle of the 40 x 50m you're still going to need a fairly decent petrol mower.
    Electric isn't going to cut it either way…

    I got a great second hand mower from a Sunday trash and treasure market about 10 years ago for $60. Still starts first time every time.

    Does anyone know who the Manufacturer is of the Tiger Brand 118cc mower as I need a copy of the user / operating manual?
