  • those knife blocks harbor alot of bacteria..

    • Even if you clean the knives?

      • If you keep the knife block in a kitchen, you will get grease in there and everything that finds its way into the grooves will stick to it and stay there.. dust, bugs, bacteria.

    • Some wooden knife blocks fold open so you can get in there to clean it.

This does not look like one of those, so I wouldn't use it.

      • even if u could clean it,

it would be a pain to clean it often, else there would be a continued bacteria build up..

Just use store the knifes in a drawer

  • How does the Takashi 7 piece set differ from the Katana 6 piece set deal which was posted a few days ago, other than the different block and the Sharpener?

      •14cm Vegetable Knife.
      •20cm Cooks Knife.
      •22cm Bread Knife.
      •22cm Ceramic Sharpener.

  • Edit: Was replying above.

  • I like global knives, but wouldn't buy a knife block as you end up with a bunch of knives you didn't really need. Better to buy the exact lengths that are right for you.l. Also, store them on a magnetic strip.
