$20 Amaysim UNLIMITED Incl 5 GB Data 1st Month (55 % off) + Get $10 Credit

160
UNL20

UNL20 is a new code valid from 11/01/15 to 31/01/15 and is better than the previous code HALF50 (50 % off).

For $20 you get 5 GB of data and 30 days of unlimited:

  • Standard calls to landlines and mobiles
  • Calls to 13 and 18 numbers
  • Standard SMS and MMS
  • Voicemail

Plus get $10 of credit if you use my referral link: http://amaysi.ms/r/RS8fQMN0

Note: The T&Cs for this promotion state that it is for "new orders" rather than new customers. So existing customers may be able to take advantage of the deal by making a new order and porting their existing amaysim number to a new SIM. But I have not confirmed this yet.

So $20 is just the price of the first month and $44.90 is the price for every other month?

    • Correct, however amaysim has promoted this plan for 30–50 % off each month for the past few years, so you may be able to extend the deal indefinitely for a similar price. See the "Note" in the OP.

      • How can you get this every month as it is for 1st month 55% only.

Are you suggesting port-out and port-back?

        • If you ordered this for $20 and activated tomorrow you would have the UNLIMITED plan for 30 days, so from 14/01/15 to 12/02/15. Following that you could let your account switch to PAYG which would use your $10 referral credit for the next 5–10 days. So that's $20 for 35–40 days of heavy usage.

Then when your $10 referral credit is about to run out (they will send you an SMS) you make an order for a new SIM using next month's promotional code (probably for 50 % off). When you activate it you specify that you want to use your existing number and you start all over again.

I wouldn't anticipate that you'd need to port out and back but if so you could do it via a free SIM like Lyca or Lebara.

Wish they had access to 4G already.

    Would go for this.

Apparently they'll have 4G plans later this year :)

      • Fine people in Amaysim notwithstanding, tho the thing with tel-cos ..they'll use 4G go back to full $45 pricing in the future, and then people enjoying -55% setups find theirs compromised as typical again. Fiddly plan anyhoo

If they had Amaysim to Amaysim free, would have been a hit !

    • Amaysim to Amaysim? in what way? calls and texts are free to any number in Australia, doesn't matter what network they're with!

      • Sry I meant their PAYG plans or if they had a smaller plan that provided Amaysim to Amaysim for free, like Lyca, Yatango($7), Lebra, Aldi($10), etc…

        • amaysim FLEXI has free amaysim-to-amaysim calls and texts. But it's $19.90/mo. For that you get $19.90 credit to spend on cheaper [than PAYG] calls (9c/min) and text (9c) and 0.5 GB data to start with.

        • @Scrooge McDuck: Yea I spotted that quite a good deal gets me about 220 mins, but with Yatango I can tailor a cheaper or more expensive plan each month and combine it with PAYG credit…

          Example:
          - $19 plan can get me 200 mins + 200 mins YtoY & 500MB data.
          OR
          - $19 plan can get me 400 mins + 400 mins YtoY & 200MB data.
          AND
          - If I top up $10 which lasts 3 months I can use it for SMSs or any excess calls (11c/min), text (9c) or data (5c).

Gave me more flexibility and the option to go ultra cheap @ $7 and still get some Yatango to Yatango minutes. Got a few people on it…

        • @Scrooge McDuck:

Not a great deal, on Virgin Mobile for $20 a month I get 1.5 gig data, free virgin to virgin calls/text, $200 of calls to other numbers plus the rollover of any unused calls from the month before.

        • @serpserpserp: Yes Virgin's rollover feature was tempting, I'm still on the lookout for the UlTiMaTe PlAn… lol

        • @serpserpserp:

That's with the bonus 1 GB they offered early last year right? It hasn't been available for months AFAIK and if you change plans you might lose it.

Their current $20 plan gives you only 0.25 GB of data and 250 arbitrary units of credit (auc). Their call rates are 0.98 auc per minute plus 0.40 auc flagfall. So to compare it with real money plans assume that all your calls are 2 min; then the plan gives you ~210 minutes worth of calls. So that's comparable with amaysim and Yatango.

They give you ~10 times more "credit" but the calls are ~10 times more expensive — don't be fooled by the marketing trick.

    • I don't know if I am special, but my wife is on the unlimited plan and I'm on the flexi, and our calls are free to eachother.

edit: ahh I see this is discussed by another poster
