The the main difference between 3 black and 4 silver seems to be touch screen and bluetooth instead of wifi remote, happy with black 3 then cheers.
i wouldnt be happy if there was no screen on my gopro.. screen make all the diff.

Agree, I'm unhappy I missed it and from what I've seen there's never been a deal like it since
I too was hanging out for a price drop but needed it for the holidays so bought one from Myer last week ($50 myer gift voucher from work sealed the deal) I tried to price match [insert random camera shop] down to $450 and the guy agreed to go check if it was OK but came back with the old story it was already at cost price so they couldn't drop it any further. Gopros seem to be like ipads and the like where the price never drops tooo significantly and I wouldn't be surprised if that DSE sale was below cost. That's cheaper than you can even grey import them for (and our shitty AUD exchange rate doesn't help)
Anyone know why they're clearing it?
I've been watching prices closely as I want one of these, the price is reasonably common for the silver. If the price really dropped significantly it might be worth asking why at that time.

doesn't the hero 4 have a touch screen where as the 3 dont
Only the Hero 4 silver has the LCD touch screen integrated. All other versions never had it.
Iv gone into myer for this deal an they have no idea about it? What should I do?
How come is the Silver Hero 4 more expensive than Hero 3 Black when it came out ? is there a big leap from Hero 3 to 4 ?
