Can Definitely recommend "Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale" Capitalism ho!
Didn't know steam had amassed this many not to mention some quality ones too!
Gotta love hatoful boyfriend
There is a small title buried within that heap of junk called "planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~", it's the only Key game that's been officially translated (Clannad is in the works) although it's been available in fan translation form for years. Can recommend.
I'm actually playing Zero no Kiseki atm (finished both Sen no Kiseki's) by Falcom, decent games but I don't know if the 2004 Trails in the Sky might be all that accessible. The art is a tad dated.
I wish XIII made it to Steam :(
wouldn't have called it an anime game, but a classic nonetheless!
When was Legend of Korra an anime…
It's not.
Anime is actually just the japanese word for animation. Any kind of cartoon in Japan, including american ones, are "anime".
It's also used to refer to the japanese animated style of cartoons.
The legend of korra uses this style.
Some people, in misunderstanding all this, try to claim "ANIME IS JAPANZ ONLYS!!!11", but yeah, not really. The only definition of that would stem from people taking some kind of misinformed view that anime includes the definition of having to be from japan. Whereas it's more correct to refer to that kind of thing as "japanese anime" or "japanese animation". etc. Just like people in Japan would refer to american animation as "american anime" etc.
I agree with you particularly the 'Some people try to claim "ANIME IS JAPANZ ONLYS!!!11"' bit.
Though be fair, the term is used, more than often, as Japanese only thing. Just like how we never use manga for cartoons and such.
I think this is half due to ignorance and half because not many animated shows in the USA are trying to use the anime style of art, or visa versa.
This was certainly called "anime" when screened in Japan. In the West some people use anime to refer to Japanese animation, in Japan no such distinction is made.
Korra is almost certainly "anime styled" and without doubt "anime inspired", so even if not using this broader meaning Korra still fits the bill.
At least Korra started life as an animated show, many of the other 'anime' games aren't based on animation at all but rather use an "anime" or "manga" style of art. So Korra has more claim to be an anime game than other titles in the sale.
A Hatoful anime would be nice.
