Just found this one with a ridiculous normal price ($220.00); but with an ozbargain-er spirit in mind I went straight "buying" it without hesitation. Lol!

Hmmm no reviews and published December 26, 2014 - I think it's going to be a waste of time. Usually this kind of activity is budding authors trying to get subscribers. At least it's the right price! :p

I understand this with Udemy, but wondering how this works on Kindle. Maybe this case is an exception as the author might actually know his stuff and can hack it but I don't think or didn't know that Amazon hands over readers personal info to the authors.

It's more a marketing branding thing, and saying 'Hey look I'm an author!' for credibility. But the more and more junk on there it's ruining the legit published author tag now. (…on Kindle)

Doubt it's worth A$220 even for 536 pages, but I guess the author factored in his research time and just made it like 10cents per page. Could be a silly joke on Australia tax, maybe it's only US$50.

I think this deal been on the front page is a disgrace.

    (1) It was NEVER worth $220 and would have sold 0 copies at that price point.

This deal getting the attention is pretty much a big F** to authors who genuinely discounting their products.

        lol. My main concerin is;

What if someone on Udemy decides to put their RRP at $300 and discount to $0 does this mean a whole deal to themselves?

For a book published so recently the fair value is pretty much close to $0 just to get it circulating.

The author of this book won't believe his luck getting this advertising!

    • 0 copies sold !! An educated guess or Do you have some sort of statistics or evidence?

What's wrong with you guys? You got it free and are still complaining? This is the second edition of a book whose first edition is still selling for about $20. Further it is not a self-published work like many kindle books out there but published by O'Reilly. So thanks OP. Buy now and read later.

      Oops accident neg..

You really sold that one to me. Another ebook in my kindle that I will read never. Nice

    • You can pick up some dog poop on someone's nature strip for free too. Doesn't mean you shouldn't complain about it when someone's dog does it on yours.

So I've started reading this - are we sure that it's entirely legit? Many concatenated words and incorrect formatting.

  • US store sells it for $178.66 now. Any idea how to get it free?

  • damn just saw this now $220 did i need this or rather enjoy new year

    happy new year

  • It was reduced to $0.00. I ordered it free. And now Amazon are trying to get me to pay for $220.00.
I notice that today it is priced at $3.99. What is going on?

  • Yep, i got billed for $220. Thankfully Amazon gave me a refund outside their normal 7 day period. Might be worth being very wary in the future for these $0 books, pay attention to everything and don't just mindlessly click through like I did.

The fact the price went $220->0->220->3.99 is very suspect too.
