I am looking for a 32" full hd lcd tv for my bro-in-law to use as a computer monitor with an xbox 360. Was pretty set on the LG 32LB5610 32" as it has an IPS panel and seemed good value - it is currently $377.52 delivered at OO.com.au ($10 off coupon and 40% off delivery expiring in 5 days) compared to $397 with free shipping from Appliances Online. But then I saw the Sony for $398 at Bing Lee. Much better deal since it's a smart tv. Played around with the menus on both, the Sony has way more features and settings obviously and looks better too (transparent, LG isn't). It can get quite confusing though, not so easy to navigate and the remote has a plethora of buttons - my general feeling with Sony TVs anyway. Seems like the next cheapest is at VideoPro for $427 delivered, $479.20 @ Myer, $489 @ TGG, $497 @ HN & $498 @ JB. But it was as low as $316 before during that 20% eBay sale when TGG had it listed for $395
Here are the specs from the product page:
Full HD LED Display (1920x1080)
X-Reality PRO Picture Engine
Motionflow XR 200
Smart TV with Built-in WiFi
Easy wall mount solution included
USB Recording and Playback (32GB USB minimum for recording)
It has 4x HDMI (with 1x MHL + ARC on HDMI port 2), 2x USB, composite video, component video, optical digital out, headphone out, ethernet and builtin wifi
Bought one about 30min ago. Going to be a great kitchen screen for me as I don't think many of the 32" have wifi.
