Yup just used it on another set of head phones and it allows $5 off.
unfortunately its still doesnt bring the price down to what they where 2 months ago ($30 more expensive - on the set i was looking at)
…The AUS Blue version can be had easily for this price and less…
Care to share the link?
The list price delivered for the Blue ones is $199 from several retailers (StoreDJ, Minidisc, etc). This eGlobal Digital deal for Grey Stock is $198 delivered ($193 for a new customer if this is a new customer coupon code). A comment (with supporting document) in a previous thread showed that StoreDJ quoted a pick-up price of $185 to one individual for the AUS sourced Blue M50X. You should be able to find that in a previous M50X deal posting.
Fair enough. The lowest price for the blue version I can find is $189. For the black or white version $171 delivered is a good price
Hopefully one of the Australian retailers that normally charge $199 delivered will do a better deal in the next couple of weeks.
The white one at eGlobal Digital is also surcharged for some reason ($173 after coupon).
Not very good for this price (IMO).
Lots of better options, if you have time look on Head-Fi for many opinions and ideas.
I like how you didn't find a single lower price or suggest a 'better option'.
This is a very good price considering the AUD, and IMO these are the best cans under $200.
IMO these are the best cans under $200
Momentums circum-aural version… by a mile
There are dozens of competent cans, so many tastes and options to consider, thousands of threads to read, my opinions would be that of a basshead.
I own 10-20 pairs of headphones, 20-30 pairs of IEM's, I didn't rate these as being particularly amazing in any specific sound quality, comfort or build trait.
What similar $ cans have you tried them against with the same source and music?
While I agree with you completely on your opinion, it would've been really nice if you gave us examples on what you recommend.
DT880? CAL2? I don't know, that price range was always squashed between 400~ and ~100 range for me to sort of look into. Any recommendations?
I use this thread; http://www.head-fi.org/t/692119/the-deals-discussion-thread-…
880's are fine, Cal2, not so good (have not tried), ATH-Pro700 II get good reviews, I'm still wanting a set of V-Moda M-100's, my M80's are very nice. Sennheiser HD600, A few Ultrasones.
This list is a mix of commonly liked cans and ones I like / want. I don't like giving recomendations without the user describing what they like / how they listen, what equipment, etc. So, take with a grain of salt.
I'm listening to my Xaiomi Pistons 2's for ~$22, lovely IEM's.
@noone025: If you are a basshead, then you probably would want to look at HD650 instead of HD600. Since HD600s are fairly flat and HD650 are known for little bit more bass (that being said I never had HD650 so, never had the chance to compare). Just saying :P
I hoped for some boxing day sales on a set of nice headphones today but nowhere seems to have any decent deals. Has anyone seen any good bargains? Thought Myer or DJ would have a deal on Bose QC25's but no luck :(
Searching for QC25's as well.
Good guys are doing beats by dre solo 1's for 99
If thats your thing..
Haha think I'll pass on the beats. I'm actually looking at the PSB M4U 2's along with the qc25's. Hopefully a bargain pops up somewhere ;)
Only for Black, the other colours are additional cost. If you want the Blue version then this is not a deal. Some more detail would be nice in your post, particularly supporting that yours is a deal by listing the next best offers.
The AUS Blue version can be had easily for this price and less.
I'm still hoping that one of the local retailers makes a great offer in the next couple of weeks on this headphone.
I'm guessing that your coupon is just the new user $5 coupon.
