  • How big the storage capacity? Or I must get a big microsd card for it as well?

    • Needs a micro sd card (8gb-32gb)

  • I got one 3 weeks ago from HN for $123. Great camera and picture quality. Only down sides are that it doesn't seem to run on battery power alone - it always needs to be plugged in. Also the screen is quite bright which is a distraction at night. It would be good if there was an option to turn the screen off, or at least adjust the brightness.

    • LCD Standby Sets the timer for the LCD to turn off automatically (in
      specified time) after recording starts.

Just flicking through the user manual and saw the above… Tried that?

      • Thanks, I'll give it a go.

  • The reviews do not seem to be very impressive.

    • Wow, those reviews are awful. I've never had any of those issues with mine, though.

    • Not great, but also looks like they're for the range of cams, so hard to get an idea on a specific one :S

  • Good info on dash cams here -

  • I have had the Mivue 358 for a year and a bit. It works well. Have never recorded anything worthwhile yet. Only issue is if the car gets very hot, presumably because of some battery cut-off, it won't start recording as usual. You can manually start it in those circumstances. It also tends to lose the date and time for some reason but keeps on recording.

    Good quality for cheaper.

Capacitor too, so no exploding batteries in the Aussie summer.

  • I own one of these bought at full price. Reading "constipated": this is what has happened to me this week. It wont retain the date or time, first time I have had this problem. I'm looking at replacing it with a capacitor based one. At $118 its good value though, and the recorded video is very clean and clear.
