AA stuff is super high quality, but pretty expensive. The 20% off helps!
i do not think AA's quality is good enough for such their expensive price( i prefer to A&F and A&E). Their fabric is usually soft and thin. i think the positive point for their clothes is their variety of color that attraact many young customers.
I find that everything AA that I have is very good quality and fits great - love it! Does the discount code work for deliveries to Australia?
they have an AUS site, which is what the discount coupon works on yes.
American Apparel clothing is decent quality, and a great place to go for basics, but I can't help feeling bitter that the clothes would be a fair bit cheaper if I ordered them off the American/International site instead of the Aussie site. A dress that I've got my eye on sells for $72 AUD on the Aussie site as opposed to $38 USD on the US/Intl site. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be workaround for that…probably because of their Aussie brick and mortar stores.
Anyways, 20% off is better than nothing. :)
Yeah, before the Australian website was launched we could order from the US website. Prices there are generally 30-50% cheaper then the Aussie equivalent anyway. So we're getting jibbed anyway especially with the good exchange rate.

How long does it take them to ship though? and shipping doesn't even look that cheap.

American Apparel Aus site with shipping and 20% off coupon: $70.40AUD
Tuffy McPuggles eBay with international shipping: $38.85USD or $43.00AUD (as of 14/10/09).That's a difference of $27.40.

That is quite cheap! The Tuffy McPuggles store does look good, but only has the basic items.
According to the AA website, it takes 1-3 days for the order to be processed, and 4-8 days transit time. So 11 working days max. Shipping isn't that bad if you buy a few items - $8 flat rate for orders under $100, and free shipping for orders over $100.
Decent site with some nice products :)
