Hi Guys,
My old dishwasher just broke.
On the market for a cheap one.
Nothing too flash, just being able to wash dishes is enough :)
Thanks

What do you call cheap
Compared to a miele a $1000 washer is cheap, so some idea of the $$$ would get a better response
Have children … bargain
You haven't considered Whole-of-Life costs there.
I got the previous model of this one for $439. Does the job- http://www.appliancesonline.com.au/omega-dishwasher-odw717xb…
i would go kitchen store and get a matching door with hinges, take that old dishwasher out and convert it to wn extra cupboard. hardly use a dish washer. back many years ago it is for show when the guests come, now it has lost its function.
We had the most basic model of Dishlex put into our last house. Got it for about $450 a few years ago. It was great. Very quiet, did a good and quick job. Much better than my mum's fancy branded one that cost triple the amount.
We had a Whirlpool from new and it was a pile of rubbish. It was recommended by Choice but wasn't worth it. Repaired twice under warranty but still a bit dicky. Finally gave it away. Have a Dishlex now. Quiet, washes well and no problems.
My research on Product Review led me to Westinghouse model around $750, but they were out of stock everywhere. I settled for a Turkish Made BOSCH from a Bing Lee special posted here for Under $600.
Masters have Haier on sale
$419 with $40 cash back

The prosimo got 4 star reviews the Haier 1 star
Also when I tried EDR25 and got a further $25 off when ordering online for pickup. (Obviously I haven't completed the order but it looks good)
So it's $343
The white one is now $279 ( less $20 coupon?)

+$40 for 3 year extended warranty (worthwhile??)
I bought a miele 10 years ago. Still got it. Still looks like new. Never has broken down or needed servicing. I'm now renting and the dishlex here chews through the rinse-aid at 4 times the rate of the miele. The quality of clean is rubbish. Looking forward to reinstalling the miele into the new house and it will probably keep going forever. Just need to run dishwasher cleaner through once in a while. We only discovered dishwasher cleaner when we were planning to leave the house prior to demolition and it did such a great job.
Look at Bellini dishwashers at Bunnings.
