My fiance is moving to Sydney permanently from New Zealand and she wants to change her savings from NZD to AUD. She has about $20k in the bank. Where can I find the best exchange rate for this? I've heard of Ozforex but have never dealt with them. Are there other money changing facilities that give better rates? Thanks.

Another vote for OzForex. I use them every month for moving >$10k between USD and back. I think there is no fee for first time registrants. And I'm not sure if the OzBargain link is still giving fee free for life but worth a shot here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/131512
We also use OzForex to move fund between Australia and New Zealand but at less amount. I thought above AUD $10k+ has always been free (according to their fee rates).
The OzBargain deal is fee-free over $2k. Not sure whether it is still going, but I signed up with that link myself (for business account rather than personal), and only got 50 fee-free transfers.
AFEX is another company that could do it.

I even asked the broker to give me a better rate and he did.
I used Currency Online (http://www.currencyonline.com/) 2 years ago when I moved from NZ. Zero fees over $10k and I rang them a few times to get better rates.

I have used OzForex before to transfer amounts over 10k, and have 100% confidence in their services.
They offered very good rates and minimal fees, at the time (around 2 years ago), were probably the best on the market. I'm pretty sure there are other ways too, but compared to main street financial institutions, Ozforex was the best.
