    These air tickets are cheaper than my weekly bus fare. Only if we can get a bit more competition with Sydney public transport to bring the price down…

    Jetstar has also announced their $9 tickets from Melbourne to various locations (Hobart, Launceston and Newcastle), and to Perth for $79. All depart/arrive from Tullamarine.

              @yousuf: The extended was from a week ago. It ends tonight as we speak. If they are putting up that $9 SALE again maybe we could expect it to be back pretty soon. I hadn't had any email from them about this promotions too, so probably the $9 SALE earlier today was a mistake. Maybe..

                @John: I thought the $9 sale was in direct response to Tiger's sale, which only announced on Monday morning. That's why there was no email distributed.

                I think however, there was only a limited number of seat available for those $9 tickets. Hence they were all sold out pretty quickly, and the promotion was therefore taken off.
