AffinityVision.com.au - NetComm 3G005W for $100 Delivered When Signing with Exetel HSPA/3G

01
V007

EDITIf pickup can be mutually agreed, then I'll offer the N3G005W for just $90 for this deal.

I am offering a discounted Netcomm N3G005W with each connection that successfully registers for an Exetel HSPA / 3G data service using the AffinityVision.com.au agaent code as the reference (see coupon code).

The N3G005W is available for $100 including shipping via registered OR "Uninsured Express" post to any Australian address that Australia Post will deliver to.

This offer does not include the USB modem that is required for use with this device, you may BYO or buy one from Exetel. Note that during signup you can also choose to get a free modem (E160) with a 24 month contract or you can opt to pay for the E1762 which offers higher potential speeds.

The main purpose of the N3G005W is to allow you to share a 3G wireless connection with multiple devices using local wireless and/or wired connections and it allows the Internet connection to be protected by NAT firewall facility, rather than exposing a machine more directly to the Internet by use of a 3G dongle directly on a single machine.

Other units are available, if needed — just email me.

You will need to email me your details once the connection has been applied for and/or activated so that I can ensure that the agent assignment has worked correctly.

Email address for notifications / questions: [email protected]

Also, if you are in a 900MHz network area, then I can offer a suitable antenna kit for $85, Exetel offers these on the signup form for $95.

NB: Exetel will be your ISP and the HSPA data product uses the Optus 3G network.

This link may enter the agent code successfully, please check the form when you are filling it out.

  • So… what exactly is the discount? You don't seem to actually mention it.

Just looks like a hook to get peoples email addresses.

  • The N3G005W unit costs a lot more than $100 normally, the offer is a discounted price on this unit with free delievery, but it is subject to a sucdessful activation of a new Exetel HSPA/3G data service which can be better used with this wireless router.

$5 less than MSY and Umart, and requires you sign up with a certain ISP… I'm gonna stick with the negative.

    • This offer includes free shipping which isn't included in the MSY or Umart pricing.

There are other benefits with an Exetel connection on the Optus 3G network to consider as well.

      • The point here though is that this isn't much of a deal. People can join Exetel anyway, so benefits of Exetel is irreverent to whether to use you for referral or not.

Basically your offer is sign up with Exetel and you will offer a rebate of $15. Or effectively a rebate of $5 as I imagine pick-up will be hard to arrange (You don't seem to have a physical store, yes free shipping is nice but then you can't offer refunds/exchanges that matches a brick and mortar store.).

Don't take it personally, but we are pretty picky here as we like to look for great deals. Users get annoyed if you are looking to get free advertising without offering a great deal - we expect you to pass the savings in advertising to us in a very enticing offer!

Come back with a better deal and I'm sure you will be received more warmly!

Edit: And I'm pretty sure the referral bonus is more than $15. If you buy the N3G005Ws in bulk it should cost less. In other words, you can do better ;-)

If you wish to buy the N3G005W elsewhere, then I will rebate $40 on the signup!

btw at this time, Exetel sell these units for around $120 to agents and normally their pricing is better than other suppliers for Netcomm gear. I'll ask Exetel on the reseller forum if the price can be improved upon.

          • @affinity: Now that sounds like a better deal.

It doesn't surprise me that Exetel (or any telco reseller) cannot beat the supply chain of a specialised computer hardware importer.

            • @tim_geo: Well, Exetel has almost exclusively supplied Netcomm gear from the beginning for most if not all residential connections. Cisco gear in higher grade the business connections.

They have a very good relationship with Netcomm and Cisco for that matter. Hopefully they will get a better price on the N3G005W and if they do, then I'll make the offer more attractive. In any case, the $40 offer is there whether or not you want a wireless router now too.
