Lol ironic name, presto. They should rename to hellslo

  • I tried to redeem this offer few days back but I didn't understand how to do that. The instructions says I should enter the promo code I received in the email but I don't know how to get the promo code. Do I need to buy the Chromecast from the Play store to be eligible for this offer?

Edit: NM I found the instructions on the Presto support forum. Will give it a try after going home.

They are offering tv shows from Feb. Interesting to see what is on offer

  • so um, in the terms you posted at the top; "This offer is available to residents in Australia for Chromecasts purchased in Australia only, on devices purchased on and before 30th November 2014."

    • Yep, it's an old offer, been around for a while.

Don't even bother. Tried to use this crapola service on 25 Mbit NBN and it was hopeless. Kept losing the spot and we had to start the app and movie again. The GUI is rubbish too. The free Crackle on my Samsung Bluyray is much better (though not many good movies). The movies on Presto aren't up to much either.

    • The service is truly terrible. I cancelled my 2 month service immediately. Even for free its not worth using. Watching movies on Chromecast is worst than trying to upscale the worst possible quality YouTube videos…HORRIBLE. What a joke service.

  • I wonder if they fixed the android app so movies actually stream. I had 3 months free and it was so useless I barely used it at all.

  • They offered me 2 months free on huluplus (new subscribers only) or 90 days umlimited music on google play. I already subscribe to huluplus so thats a bummer and the free music from google play, meh.. I get music from youtube anyways.

    Bugger.

Presto is the MOST TROUBLESOME movie service I have ever used.

Doesn't work with Chrome, or my Firefox EVEN though other movie services Worked flawlessly. (DIfferent error msg every month), and urgh their programmers setting up the User Interface and constraints so fd up… you are allowed to only stream 2 movies at the same time which is… uhkay… but then when you crashed or FAILED to LOAD you are still counted as Streaming. Do that Twice (or twice getting error) then you CANNOT WATCH (until you wait for some time for their system to reset you) because there is NO WAY you can CLOSE your running streams, NOR there is any option to do it yourself!

Only working with my Internet Explorer-which I do not normally use (that is 2 months ago.. now it also Doesn't work even though I am not changing any settings - the latest error being DRM error lol???…. I thought this is Legal? crazy~~) and when it was working it would randomly Crash every 5/10/15 minutes anyway… Never have I seen a movie via Presto without crashing… and I am not over exaggerating…just Fact based

Imagine if you're inviting family/friends to see a movie and all that happen… lol

Not enjoyable, problematic, not worth your $ for the service and/or considering the releases of movies that are available, you pay to enjoy not to hassle with customer service… who don't even write solutions in public forum but instead only want to do it VIA private msg for some non privacy related reasons - not just on isolated cases but to everyone! - don't believe? just browse their tech forum… and you'll see everything is referred to private msg lol… talk about publicly and readily available solutions. Can't imagine being the Tech CS there… over and over giving the (most likely)same solution to hundreds(?) of people who are affected by the same problem.

    Meh other ways are better

Ah the memories. I had my niece and nephew here and thought it would be awesome running a movie through presto for them. You can imagine their disappointment while I battled with the above issues for 20mins before giving up. Quite amusing in hindsight though lol.

  • Will it work if i've gone through this offer before?
