  • _> if only I hadn't spent all my points on this useless Yoshi backpack. It's still in wrapping!

    Refunds pls Nintendo :P

    • These are pretty cool. I've got a Belkin Conserve Valet that my Zelda 3DS XL charges on though, and when my little golden treasure isn't charging, it sits tight inside the Pikmin tote which I got from the Nintendo store :)

  • Just spent all my points on that stupid Zelda toiletry bag thing that I'm never going to use in my life, of course. It'll take me another year to work up enough points to buy anything worthwhile, and then I'll no doubt waste them on something else dumb right before they put up something actually useful.

  • Roughly how many games would you have to register for 2000 points? Can't see how many tokens you earn without signing up

    • +3

First party games are 200 points and Third party are 250. Depending on what you buy (3DS/Wii/Wii U) it's around 8-10 games. Average say $50ea and that makes it $500 give or take.

The points are "free" though so it's only your time when you fill out the survey.

You can also redeem other items such as 2 pieces of wrapping paper with Mario on it, face towels and digital wallpapers. The only limit is your imagination!

      • If it takes $500 points to claim one, HOW IS THIS A BARGAIN?

        • -2

Yep, should be moved to the forums.

      • Thanks. Have some unregistered 3ds games but really CBF for trinkets like this.

  • Noob question here. The star points you earn and the points you can buy from the nintendo card which had 20% off @ebgames, are they the same thing? That is you can use them to buy this or digital download games from the eshop?

    • +2

Different. The cards you're referring to are just eshop credits, like iTunes gift cards. Club Nintendo points are akin to coke rewards points. You get a handful for free with each Nintendo purchase, use them to do surveys and get a free gift every now and then.

    • Star points are like nintendo flybuys, different to eshop credit

  • Got a green one. Thanks!!!

Kinda stinks that club Nintendo Australia gets this just as the new (incompatible) 3DS XL comes out.

I bought the blue dock for my own XL years ago for 30 bucks from someone who got it from Japanese club Nintendo.

    • Probably left over old stocks from japan trying to offload here in Aus.

      • I'm sure this is what happens. They did the same thing with the felt pouches and the playing cards.

  • thanks for the heads up….bugger though I'm 100 points short :(

not suitable for use with New Nintendo 3DS XL

Was excited until I read this. Can't find any accessories for my n3dsxl except from Japanese sites.

    • I saw the new 3ds xl charging cradle in target for 14 bucks. It's vertical!

  • Thanks! Finally found a use for my 2350 stars sitting in account waiting for something useful (Huge faith I know).

  • +1

Yss, had 1850 stars, remembered I hadn't redeemed Alpha Sapphire. Nabbed myself one of em.

If you redeem some more stars and find you're not able to buy it still (it says you don't have enough), log in in an incognito window/another browser. Mine kept saying 1850 stars even after logging out and back in. The website is appalling.

How long do these usually take to get here? It says up to 4 weeks, but is there any chance in hell of this getting here before Christmas?

    • Yeah, I've had some stuff arrive within a week or so.

      • What kind of shipping company that they use?

        • +1

          Pikmin &Toads :)

      • Is shipping free?

  • Thanks, got the white one!

  • +1

+1 only because Nintendo Australia have added something to their Stars Catalogue.

Club Nintendo Australia haven't released anything decent since the SNES Controller for Wii. :/

    • And it wouldn't even take much effort to give us something good.

I'd be very satisfied if they even let us buy digital games with points like the US can.

  • Thanks! I didn't have enough points but my son did on his account. Had been holding out for something worth getting.

  • Thanks for this. Anyway to recheck the address submitted? it doesn't mention it on the confirmation email, I'm starting to worry I have spelt it wrong as I didn't check over it :(

  • all gone now :(
