People Who Love Outdoor/Outback Activities. Ideas for Cheap Deals?

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum to ask but Im the type of person who is starting to like outdoor or outback activities like bushwalking, outdoor obstacle courses, horse riding, giant swings, rock climbing, adventure parks, camping, jungle trails etc. (however nothing too extreme like sky diving). However I havent done most of above so im asking if any of ozbargainers know any cheap places to do these or know any tips/tricks. (share your experiences?)

whether there are any good forums/websites that summarises cheap & fun outdoor things to do around sydney.

  • Group deals often have them. Keep your eyes peeled on spreets, groupon and scoopon

  • A lot of what you describe is bushwalking. Have a look at this group - obviously these things are safer and more fun in a group. http://www.sbw.org.au/The-Tiggers .

  • Join the Army, better than free, they pay you to do most of these things (they stopped horse riding in the 1930's though). Seriously, buy a 2nd hand Mountain bike then hit the trails! Plenty of great fun MTB trails around, riding on them is almost always free.
