    is not a good deal.

You can get that bargain sometimes when Coles/Woolworths on sale.

    • if you check from coles/Woolworths in person, you will found it's selling $8.95 for 4x AA Duracell "Ultra"

and you need to paid $69.7 for the the exact items in this offer. (as on 1/10/2009 at Coles Eastgarden, Sydney)

Please post the deal on ozbargain if you find similar deal from retail. :)

    lol expensive

It doesnt seem that bad to me other than the postage cost.
Where else can you get 26 ultra alkaline duracell batteries for 19.95??

Does anyone know a code for free or discount postage?

needs to be a big coles sale checking online store
    current prices
    9V battery 7.29 each
    2 Pack AA 5.44 Each
    4 Pack AA 9.36 each
    2Pack AAA 5.55 each
    4 Pack AAA 9.94 each

so even buying 3 4 packs and 2 individuals will cost you 3(9.94+9.36)+2(7.29) = 72.48
    Including postage costs 29.93
    60% saving
    Safeway/woolworths
    No 9V ultra
only have 8 pack AAA 14.99
    10 pack AA 14.99

    So cost at safeway is

    1.5(14.99)+1.1667(14.99)+ 2(7.29)=54.55
    Still 45% saving

I have never seen such a saving on duracell ultra at coles or safeway before please let me know if you do and I will stock up

I think though the COTD day a month or so back was better value

I know coles is selling there own crappy brand 2packs of aa and aaa at 4 for $1 at the moment. I know they dont run cameras well or high drain devices but for controllers etc they are fantastic.

Not great for the enivronment though.

You should get one battery for approximate $1 in most sale events - this is not a bargain

  • +2

26 ultra duracell batteries for $20 is less than $1 a battery.
I dont understand the above comment, these should be better batteries than coles branded ones.
The only problem is the expensive shipping which is $9.95 on everything on that site which doesn't seem logical.

    • Who pays for shipping then?

  • 9v batteries are also never $1
you show me $1 batteries and I'l buy a years worth

      for your dildo?

This is a bargain full stop…

  • edit: still available firefox gave different result
    edit 2: Now sold out

  • I normally pay about 50c each for alkalines, In packs of 102-20. (or Coles 12c :-) or $4-5 for 9V (e.g. toshiba)
If high-drain is needed, the NiMH is much better.
Is there anything special about Duracell? If they were really better, you'd think they would quote the capacity on the pack.
In reality, they just advertise more.

      thanks for the link.
Looks like low impedence compared to regular alkalines.

Duracell says they are for "high power devices such as digital and flash cameras, remote control toys and halogen flashlights", but I'd choose NiMH every time in those.

And for low-drain, you get little or no advantage over cheap bulk-pack alkalines.

  • I can't compare usually use energiser or duracell
had a few no name brands leak
but seem to get 6 months out wii controller

    • Yep those Coles branded ones leaked in my Samsung Camera. Luckily no damage as I was able to clean it all out.
