If it was triple status credits, I would be interested.

  • Crap booked already for those dates last week!!

    • Me too.

I don't have any plans but registered anyway! Thanks

  • Flying to from Newcastle -> Brisbane -> Adelaide today and just registered. Already a gold member, will see how it shakes out.

    • Doubt it'll attract the bonus as it's only valid for flights from 8 January next year and booked over the next few days.

      • Missed the travel between bit

  • Just reading the terms and conditions

Bonus Points earned are in addition to any Points ordinarily earned and will be applied to base Points only. Any applicable tier bonus earned will not attract bonus Points as a result of this offer. Bonus Points will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades will not attract bonus Points as a result of this offer.

Hopefully I get my base points multiplied and then also get the usual gold bonus.

Wish it were status points, I'm just a nudge off platinum as it is

  • Does marketed by virgin mean you have to book through them?

It means a flight with a VA flight number on a VA plane. Flying VA SYD-OOL is valid, but flying SQ SYD-SIN (even with a VA flight number) or VA SYD-AKL with an NZ flight number does not count.

You can buy your ticket directly from Virgin or via agents like Expedia, just make sure the flight number starts with VA and is operated by a VA plane.
