    Did anyone confirm whether JB have the Sony Alpha 6000 with the lens (and bonus lens) from yesterday's deal? Their website shows body only (and bonus lens) but if it is indeed both, that would make it an insane price of $638.40.

    Will check out Brisbane city store tomorrow and see…

      I went to the one in Macarthur - they had stock but said the would only do it for $798 (advertised price) plus the bonus 5% off.

      I went to the one just down from Hungry Jacks who would do it only for $798 less 15% (wouldn't give the extra 5%) so it was ~ $678 but then they had no stock. Didn't get time to check the other store on the Elizbeth.

      I picked up an Alpha 6000 (ILCE-6000/B) with SELP1650 (16-50mm) and bonus SEL55210 (55-210mm) lens today from an ACT store. However, the kit with the 16-50mm included (ILCE-6000/L) has gone end of life. The sales dude (who was excellent, btw) took a look on the computer to try and hunt down the kit with the 16-50mm lens included in other stores. He said that basically each store in Australia had 1 of the kits in stock including the lens - the display model. He did offer this to me for a reduced price, before I talked him into selling me the body and SELP1650 16-50mm in a separate box for the kit price.

      He also knocked the full 20% discount off the ticket price of $798 - so it came to ~$632.

      Happy camper..

        I went to the one down from Hungry Jack's as well. Couldn't tell what was on sale, since they didn't seem to update their tickets to match the website.

        Not that it would have mattered, the staff member there was more concerned with playing on his computer screen, ignoring the 20+ customers in the area looking for some assistance.

        But if the stock levels really are as low as you say, I'm pretty sure there's laws or guidelines that they've broken by advertising the camera the way they did online and not advising of low/no stock other than display.

          I notice that Videopro also mention 'limited stock' on the webpage for the body+lens kit. I wonder how many they have left…..

          I'm going to disagree on the laws / guidelines point you make. The JB web page makes no mention of the body+lens kit (not that it would matter if it did mention it - just because it's on the web page, doesn't mean it's in store stock). The website only mentions body only for $798 - I suspect because they are aware they can no longer get stock of the body+lens kit.

          Their most recent catalogue does advertise the body+lens kit for $798. I guess when it went to print, they had stock / could order this stock. And lets face it, if you want to push the point, they can say they still have stock in every store of the kit, it just happens to be the display model. No laws about that…

        My story is little bit different. Yesterday, I rang a bulk of JBHifi stores to check if they have the SELP1650 included as a part of that deal, and the Homesglen (VIC) store said they have it, I asked them put that aside for me (I haven't paid yet). Then I drove to the store and asked the receptionist for my things and the girl just showed me the camera body and the bonus lens SEL55201. I asked her where the kit lens was she said she does not know :(. Then another guy (I think he's the manager) came and talked to me and then disappeared. Five minutes later he came back with the kit lens and agree to sell 3 items for $798. That's what I came for.
        Then later today, the same camera is on sale for 15% off, I ring the same store and speak to the store manager and he offered me the refund for the different. So lucky this time!
        So I've got the whole deal for around $678!
        I will claim the TRS for this camera next month so it cost about $610ish.
        Best deal I ever had :)

    The 5% and 20% are STACKABLE!
    Saved an extra $2.13 from that. 75% rather than 80%95%.
    Not sure if it will work with the $150 camera vouchers though. I used mine yesterday and it worked different to gift cards on the receipt.

    Just a note for Trent to for next time, from what I overheard at the counter, it's not 20% + 5% to make it 25%. They take 20% off, then you get 5% off that reduced amount. (Which is very similar, but not quite the same)
