      He's just informing you of a deal because he knows people on this forum like Rokus… He shouldn't have to try and sell you on it, do you want him to wipe your nose too?

        • +5

          Ozbargain is about cheap prices and why it's cheaper then other places that's it it's entirely up to you to decide whether you wish to partake in the deal or not.
          Your life is of no concern to him , me or anyone else on here you are a big boy and can make your own decisions of such matters.

          Don't bother replying i didn't write this to here you cry.

        • Good on you!

          @holden93:

          Is it cheaper than other places?

        • @bxpressiv: What's with you and asking the wrong things to the wrong people today.

          I am not the OP

          @holden93:

          I'm asking you. You think it's a good post?

        • @bxpressiv: Very much so if i didn't already own a chromecast id buy this but my chromecast does everything i need.

        • -4

          @holden93:

          I think you're still missing the point…

        • @bxpressiv: You are the one who has missed my point.
          ill write it in caps so you can see it better.
          IT'S ENTIRELY UP TO YOUR TO DECIDE WHETHER YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY THIS PRODUCT NOT THE OP!

          If you don't know what is then take some time and Google/you tube it to find out what it does but as you have stated you own products like these so you have a pretty good idea of what it does,So it comes down to the fact that you are just causing trouble on a pretty straight forward deal.

          Have a good night

    While this does seem good, I'd personally prefer to stick with an Ethernet based device. Wifi has always had issues in my house with 1080p video.

    • No problem at my home using wifi to stream 1080p,most people don't have an issue but if you live in a good solid brick built home (2ft thick walls) you may get a few problems.

      • Yeah I've got brick built. But I've even had problems when things like my Chromecast were in the same room as my router using Plex to stream my media. That said, the Roku 3 (the premier edition with Ethernet) is only US$84.99 from Amazon. May be something to pick up.

        • $84.99 for the Roku3 is what I paid last year and I don't think its ever been lower :) its changed the way we watch Tv.

      • "Most people" know pulling a high quality video over wifi is trouble (multiple, forget it… unless you spend either half your time messing and/or half your wage on specific wifi gear that'll handle it. Even ADSL2+ kills home wifi, for many.

        Gimme ethernet/EOP anyday (EVERYday).

        PS. 2ft thick walls?! Even prefab solid concrete walls (offices etc) are 1/4 of that, and a nightmare.

    • if you are surrounded with a lot of wifi signals, try to change the channel of your router. avoid people channels or close to them. sometimes it helps.

    We will, we will Roku.

    This is $57 shipped, not 47. Poster should be aware that Amazon is in the US, which uses a different currency to us.
    Please correct the title.

    Also, this is not really a chromecast alternative, but a very different product. You may even want both.

      Personally I feel that the Roku3 is the better option than the stick and that's coming from an owner who would like nothing more than 1 less box next to the TV, the delay in the channels loading on the stick would annoy the hell out of me as it only takes seconds on the Roku3.

  • I have a chromecast connected to the same tv which I have a Roku 3. I always go for the Roku, does this differ from the Roku 3?
