Using these right now, they are great.

  • These are good speakers. Even for the $129 they are normally at OW.

    • Hows the bass on them?

      • +1

The bass on these does really crank, the dedicated subwoofer is really good.
It can get a little muddy though, but overall they have great power and presence for their size and price.

        • Thanks :)

  • Hmm, how do these compare to others such as the Edifier C2XD, Microlabs FC362 or the HK Soundsticks?

Interested in getting some speakers because my Z506 blew…

    • I can't say I've heard any of those others you mentioned.
My experience with these Logitechs (I've got 2 sets of them), is that the amount and quality of the sound they put out for their size, is phenomenal. You can easily fill a decent sized room with sound.
You can adjust the bass to your liking, so you can easily get a well balanced output.
Value for money, I don't think these can be beat. They are far better than the other 5.1 Logitech speaker sets out there.

The Edifier C2XD is garbage, I had them for a short time before taking them back to HN for a refund. They were nearly unusable for watching movies due to basically sounding like I only had a sub and tweeters, I couldn't hear any vocals in movies or music.

The Microlab Solo 6C I bought to replace them has sounds way better, they also go a lot louder (you could have a party with them) and have a lot more bass if you want it. The sub on the C2XD can't compete for bass with the drivers on the 6C's and they have converted me to stereo speakers. I've had the 6C's for 8 months now and may buy 7C's one day but not any time soon.

You will also get better quality when buying stereo vs 2.1 in the same price range.

However I did look into the Z623 before buying the 6C's, great for boomy bass but not so great for audio quality.

The Z623 will be ok for most people and at this price its a good deal, but for not much more there is better options out there depending on your personal preferences.

      • Cheers mate! Looking for good audio quality as I'm using it for music… the Microlab FC362 is pretty cheap, do you have any experience with those?

        • I don't have any experience with it but I suspepect its not very good, if you are looking for 2.1 the Logitech speakers in this deal would be better.

  • Have a pair. You'd be nuts not to buy them at this price

  • For under $100 these would be hard to beat. Just buy them.

  • Go for it ..I have a Z5500 and bought one of these last year for my friend -Amazing quality

Wow I think now I will get them after reading all your comments :)

  • Haha, ^^^ also went straight to Auburn Officeworks price beat and got myself one…

    Question:

How do i connect this speaker to my TV which only has a "Digital Audio Out"???

    • Maybe check the Logitech website dude it might have some more info for you

    • You will have to get a digital audio to analog converter.
These are available off eBay for around $30 I believe.

      • Ok, thanks..Oh, also if you know any good brand that i may need to look for please let me know..

        • I just got the cheapest one I could find.
Has worked well for me so far (5 months of usage)

        • @Rastafarian:

          Ok, thanks.

  • Got one from OW North Ryde with 5% price guarantee.

  • Got these from OW but because i am from melbourne and Bing Lee is a NSW retailer. Had to pay an extra $5 (taking in consideration postage costs :/)

  • rather than posting a new deal, figured i might post here that OW just dropped their price to $98 too (like literally this morning, as I've been waiting to buy a set but found $150 too steep). if you don't have bing lee handy (e.g here in Adelaide), you only really have a choice of paying postage (eeeek) or DSE $199, TGG + JBs $149.

ps. I bought these speakers for a LCD TV and i'm quite happy with their performance even though I've only used them for an hour or so. @ $98, seems good value.

    Cheers
