Bought the Sony speakers from jb HiFi a couple of weeks back. The x3 has surprisingly good bass for its portability. The x2 pales in comparison, but I'm not complaining about something that's free. The only issue I've come across (with both of them) is that the treble can vary quite a bit depending on how the speaker is positioned/pointed relative to your ears. I imagine an omnidirectional speaker like the ue boom wouldn't suffer this problem.
Quite a few of the reviews I read on the x3 place it equivalent with the Bose soundlink mini, and that the x3 and the Bose are the best in their segment.
At this price, I'd be happy to buy again if I needed another.
