Has Anyone Used Expedia before?

  I bought my holiday through them just 2 months back and enjoyed my holiday last week on the Gold Coast. The booking was fine. Credit card is a must. No complaints. Hotel deal was cheap. The only thing I was not happy was with my car hire through expedia. They used Herz. On the deal they advertised that there was no extra cost for excess fees in case of an accident. However, Herz at the Airport offered this as an extra option which I denied.

  I would use them again. Hope this help.

  I'm an Aussie customer and I've used them for the past five years, bookings in US, London & France, Germany, Dubai. Great deals, no problems at all and reviews & pics were pretty spot on. Oh, and got % money back via another site's link when booking. Hope this helps.

  Expedia was one of the earliest sites offering cheap deals (USA one). I have found their prices higher than other sites (esp for Asian hotels) and have rarely used them these days. I use Agoda these days - have been happy with their prices and service.

  I've used them via the UK site. Only issue was that my credit card was "declined" for security purposes due to late night/early morning booking which was deemed suspect. Even though I received a "Expedia travel confirmation" Expedia didn't tell me that effectively I didn't really have a flight confirmation until many hours later, which resulted in very rushed phone calls and more stress than neccessary. If you are going to spend a largish amounts on last minute flights via Expedia (or any online flight agent) let your bank know first.

  I've used the USA site a few years back and back then it was one of just a few. Now there is a lot of choice for the same service.
  Recently I began researching for an upcoming USA holiday and over a month or two I visited every possible travel site I could find.
  Many deals on these sites are very similar and I did make an internal flight and hotel booking with Orbitz (Seattle - Vegas).
  The rest of the travel (Melb - Seattle - Orlando) I ended up ring Delta Airlines directly and got a great deal, better than I could find on the web (with Delta). The sites like Expedia gave me a price to work with.

  For accommodation I used all the same sites to research costs and reviews and then contacted the establishment directly in Orlando. I offered a particular price and they offered something close to that but still substantially better than any of the travel sites could offer, was even better then the hotel chains website could offer.

  If you have the time shop around.
