Tech Help - FAI SG II Home Security System Won't Power Up – Advice/Help Please :)

Hello!

Long shot if anyone has any advice or tips to fix this Home Security unit. Thank you :)

Problem:

• Won't power up or function at all

Troubleshooting Steps Already Done:

• Checked powerpoint (with multimeter and other devices) – all good
• Checked output of AC adaptor (with multimeter) – all good
• Fuse is intact
• Checked power to Fuse (with multimeter) – all good
• Checked power to Battery terminals (with multimeter) – all good
• Used the Special Key to switch the device on and off – nothing

Didn't know what else to do. Just know these basics really…

Normal Operation (That is not happening)

• Display lights up - Fail
• Unit responds to remote control inputs – Fail
• Unit makes noises – Fail

The phone operator said, the problem will be unrelated to the battery, since the device should work with ac power alone. And a technician would have to come out. For $140 for the first 30mins, then $40 / 15mins
