In the last 11 years or so they have been operating, I've 'stumbled' 'reluctantly' into their stores twice. Once was in the early morning for my coffee when nothing else was opened. The other was I was intoxicated after clubbing. Even then, I felt their pies were overpriced.
Always wanted to try it, but never did. $7-$10 for 'standard' pies was way too much. You can try and tell me how premium it is, but the nature of pies aren't premium at all.
Sorry when i saw how many wealthy investors were involved…kinda gives me a different take on the whole thing.
(i should say each to there own…anyway back off to hot copper for me ;)
I dont think the price of their product was the issue, it was the taste..I tried them once and never went back, very ordinary
I felt the opposite, taste good, one of the better pies out there. But soooo over priced, only had them with 2-4-1 entertainment book vouchers, a long timeago
their veg curry was very nice. i just dislike places that charge 25 cents for a sauce. you always need 2 costing 50 cents and then you think "i can buy a 500ml bottle of sauce from aldi for $1.19 -and I just the equialent of $42 a litre of sauce, aaarrrrrggghh, now I resent buying this pie."

Still trading in Charlestown Square NSW. Crazy thing is there was already a nearby outlet some 20 metres away that also sold similar products (including Pies). Though & behold, I noticed recently they are no longer there. Typical GPT forcing the smaller guy out. Now, they will lose another tenant.
i remember seeing 3 stores on the gold coast but they have been closed for quite a while now.
