Was posted by someone else but taken down as they were 1st time poster. Same deal here.

Terms : PricePal will pay you $20 “buddy bonus” cashback for every new member who you refer that joins PricePal and installs the PricePal web app – see “qualified referral” below. You may refer multiple friends and you will earn $20 bonus cashback for each friend. Each dollar of bonus cashback is paid to you for every dollar of cashback you earn. We effectively are matching you dollar for dollar on all the cashback you normally earn! So for example if you refer 1 friend, $20 will be placed in your Unclaimed Bonus total. If you were to be paid $10 cashback, then $10 bonus cashback would be paid to you in addition, and you would have $10 remaining in your Unclaimed Bonus total. Please note that only real friends qualify (not imaginary friends!) and you can only refer one account per individual.

Looks like cashback amounts go up the more you use it / more people you refer

Example Cashback Amounts :

  • DanMurphys 4.15% (all levels)
  • Groupon 2.5% - 3.75%
  • Living Social 4% - 6%
  • Grays Online - 2.5% - 3.75%

    And read the Ozbargain 2014 cash back comparison first if you haven't already. This told me I was better off opening an account with another company for a Kathmandu cash back rather than using start here. Of course a $20 cash back would have changed this equation.

    I have also setup the randomised referral for PricePal. Now go to your settings page and fill out your referral ID.

    I am glad StartHere is gone and I would strongly recommend staying away from them.

    All my transactions with them had problems, either not being tracked at all or tracked at an incorrect amount.

      Don't think they are "gone". The logo says "PricePal — Built by StartHere". Basically the same backend engine. Your old StartHere/MoneyBackCo accounts are still there. They are just using this new platform to push their browser extension.

    Here's how the bonus cashback works: Let's say you successfully refer 1 friend, you'll get $20 bonus cashback allocated to your Buddy Bonus account straight away. If you then buy something and earn $5 cashback, you'll get an additional $5 bonus cashback for that purchase. You'll then have $15 bonus cashback left to be paid to you on future purchases.

    The idea of the program is to reward both the referrer for any genuine referrals, and also the referee (who gets $20 bonus cashback credit to their account too when they join). Hope that helps, happy to answer questions if anything is unclear!

    I've been with this site since it was moneybackco (ie ages) and they are good and legit. almost all of the items bought always get tracked and while it takes a while the money always comes in. and i'm not affiliated in any way. it's a good service I shop at a lot of the stores anyway and the % back is always appreciated.
