    They are very cheap. The e-ink ones are best for readability in sunlight. Kindle have good page controls…you need a book-sized device for conventional style reading. Newer ones have a built in back-light.

    I prefer using larger tablets, but then a lot of the PDFs I possess have illustrations in them. For reading pure text dedicated E-Readers are fine.

    It'd be more than 30 if you were reading the subsequent books.
    Most of these are Part 1 of many so I couldn't be bothered getting started with them. It also clutters the Kindle library. So here's a revised list of non serials:
