Up to 70% off Samsonite Warehouse Sale December 3rd-7th [MEL Springvale]

120

Samsonite Warehouse Sale happening again just before Christmas.

Sale on Samples, Seconds and Discounted lines with suitcases from $35.00

Some great bargains and savings from last time on hard cases but must be early or arrive mid week during work hours as stock is limited and hard cases are put out on the floor periodically. I suspect limits per person for hard cases will again apply.

  • Is there any info of which discontinued lines they offer? Perhaps phone number to call would be helpful as well. Curious to know before travel to Springvale. :)

    • There's no phone as the sale is hosted in their underground car park. In any case I'm not sure they'd answer. I was sceptical last sale as well but found it well worth it. You'd be saving even with a non hard case.

      • By looking at past sales, they had Ariel lines for hard cases and Ultralite for soft cases. Hoping this time they will have Cosmolite since this line has been replaced for sometimes.

  • Is it worth going ? I need a suitcase for traveling this year but not sure if it's worth driving that far away

    • Be prepared to wait to get in if you're coming on the weekend from Bendigo but if you're buying a few pieces or a whole new set of luggage then it might be worth the petrol

      • I would not come all the way from Bendigo just for suitcases

    • I know right?!, I am in Caroline Springs and not sure whether it's worth going all the way to Springvale.

    • Look at past posts for indicative prices.

  • Went last time. No need to go too early as you'll just encounter huge mobs. Go around 12-2. They stagger out the stock and there'll be less people at that time. Most likely the hard case on offer will be the 80/20 spin trunk case. Price was 170 for large

  • it is definitely worth going to. But it will be packed. i came around 8.30 last year, there were already 100+ people in front of me. inside you'll have to shove people around to secure your luggages

  • This sale is every year last year the said they are moving sale. Not sure this year will another moving sale

  • why isnt there one for sydney

  • +1

Ha ha, waiting in line for the first day of sales and there has already been one fistfight!

    • hows the lines now? lol love the drama just for luggage

      • The line is massive. I just got here after a 1 hour drive and I doubt there will be anything left by the time I get in

        • http://m.imgur.com/iPip02B Here is a snapshot of the line

        • @clickship:

I'm surprised with a line that big and them selling out and people driving for hours just to get there this deal only has 10 votes…

Conspiracy to keep the competition away I tells ya!

        • Yeah I only happened to stumble upon it because I was specifically looking for luggage for an upcoming trip to the U.S.

Sometimes with ozbargain, timing is everything to get a deal noticed. Sometimes it's just bad luck because crap deals like give aways and batteries just top the charts

  • Plenty of hardcases left when I was there 30 minutes ago. Bit pricier then last year - $150 for the larges and $100 for the smalls, but still great prices for Samsonites!

    • Now you have my hopes up

    • what hard case did they have?

      • Just got out, there's pretty much only tan coloured hard cases left and heaps of soft cases. Not sure what more they will bring out from the back, apparently they will get more stock tonight for tomorrow's sale. Good luck everyone l

Thanks, but what model hard case was it?

        • @tchi6:

          http://www.zalora.sg/Oval-Spinner-79%2F29-156620.html

          it comes in S-M-L= $100- $150- $180

          Colours: Charcoal and tangerine.

        • @Zinger:
Interesting. Didn't know they have that model here

@Zinger: that's strange as I only saw Aerial hardcases…….same as sales last time too…

        • @allergic2work:

I googled the description on my tag and came up with the above model number. Photo looks exactly like the one I bought.

        • @Zinger:
I definitely got the small and large version of the one you linked in charcoal

Dump question but do they take credit card/EFTPOS or cash only?

    • +2

      visa, mastercard, cash

      • Thanks buddy :) I'll probably try to hit there early this Sat.

Beside the Oval Spinner, do they have other model for hard case that you can choose from?

        • They have American Touristers but they ran out when it was my turn to go in. I think it is that model:
          http://www.bagworld.com.au/shop/detail/american-tourister-pr…

I peeked in their warehouse and they had thousands of suitcases left. Obviously, they are staggering them out to keep customers happy. Make sure you get there really early. I got there at 09.10 today and had to queue for 2 hours!

        This is awkward…

  • Any samsonite cosmolite FL model ?

  • Still plenty left. Small queue. ~30 mins wait as the organizers want to maintain a queue.
