Er, Chadstone cinemas are closed until 2016. Might want to update that list.

it's list of RACV shop locations

    • Really? That's a long time to be closed for. What are they doing there?

      • Serious renovations.

They've also taking a chunk of Target's store (reserve/storage) off them, giving free rent (for a year iirc) as compensation.

  • Hmm, which one is best, this or the similar Telstra deal?

What prices are these tickets? Am not a RACV member but have a friend that is.

Great deal for RACV members. If, like me, you aren't, but you are with Optus (old Woolies Prepaid Cap FTW) you can get $10 Hoyts tickets for anytime except Saturday after 5pm.

These are great because don't even need to buy them in advance, just decide to see the movie, go to https://www.yestickets.com.au/, pay via paypal, download the vouchers as a PDF, and book on the hoyts website. The only annoying thing is that the hoyts website makes you put in a valid credit card number even though you are paying $0.00.

    • is that cheaper than the telstra offer? And can you use gift cards in conjunction with it?

      • +1

        Telstra is $11 now.

Optus might still be $10, I don't know, but you can't buy Village tickets with it anymore, it's Hoyts only now.

    • plus, if you go to busy place like melbourne centre to watch a new popular film, you almost for sure want to book online to secure your place.
      - with Optus restricted ticket, $0 booking + $10 = $10
      - with RACV restrict ticket, $1 booking + $10 = $11

  • I have a 'telstra account' due to an al-cheapo prepaid deal I got here, for 30days internet access. Been buying tickets for 18months already. No way in hell I'm ever paying Village/Hoyts standard pricing… it's insane.

Village just cranked the food combos another 25% recently. W-T-F.

Look Village, we both know you fleece me, and i've kinda come to grips with it… but you're trying to skin me at every opportunity. QUIT IT!!

  • does your telstra sim expire if you dont use it? ie just keep it on the side exclusively for the purpose of cinema tickets :P
