  Valkyria chronicles one of the best games I played at the time, but need a lot of patience because some of the levels are either brutal, or not well designed. the AI controlled enemies are also incredibly stupid.
  Story is below average JRPG stuff, but none of this actually matters, because this game is about the visuals and music and the impressive battle mechanics that blew me away at the time. I really have not played anything so unique since.

    I thought the story was pretty good, its definitely slow-paced anime style though so it depends on what your preference is. There are much worse contenders than this

    I think some of the incredibly rule cheating enemy units at the later game will frustrate lots people. But I think finishing the game is well worth it.

  Chiming in just to say that the PC port for Valkyria Chronicles is marvellous. On a R9 280X, I can downsample from 4k resolution and maintain 60fps at all times, keyboard+mouse controls great, thumbs up all around.

  The code "NOVEMB-ERGMGX-20XOFF" works for me on Valkyria Chronicles, but price at the link is $19.99 (unsure if that is USD or AUD, but I'm guessing USD). The code brings it down to $16.
