Things to Do in Melbourne

I live in Melbourne, been in the suburbs my whole life. Need to start somewhere haha.
Ha OK. Depends what you are into. Wandering through the city can be fun.
This weekend is the Taste of Melbourne in Albert Park and Johnston St. Fiesta. It's also the Polish Festival at Fed Square.
Go up to the top of the Sofitel and use the bathroom. Great view of the city for free.
With the anniversary of the falling of the Berlin wall, Berlin Bar in the city is a very cool bar which is separated between East Germany & West Germany.
Get on a plane to Sydney?
Agree!
I would rather sit in a puddle.
Not sure how hidden it is, but CERES is a fantastic community garden around the Brunswick area… Very calming place to lose an hour or two…
Yeah good call. The capital city trail goes nearby there. That's a good circular bike route which takes you through interesting places.
Try steam train puffingbilly
Will you still be in Melbourne around April 2015? If so, you can go to any of the fine shows in the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Hidden gems would include 'military style video game inspired live combat experience Tech Assault' - who don't get nearly enough notice because of minimal advertising budget ;) https://www.facebook.com/techassault
Not that im biased or anything.Check TripAdvisory. Was thinking of going here but when I check TripAd was kinda disappointed. I seconded someone suggesting get a flight to Sydney! Check the World's famous Opera House, Sydney Bridge, Bondi and Manly Beaches and the tasty trip to Sydney Fish Market. On the contrary, the city of this thread, in my humble opinion, is just so ordinary. The Great Ocean Road? Nah it is just rocks + beach better go to Uluru for rock and Bali/Thailand/Philpn/Hawaii for beaches.
Puffing Billy is relaxing
walk around under the West Gate Bridge
take a tour of subterranean melbourneEscape Room Melbourne (Flemington / Mine Escape). Just like those internet games but in real life. Was awesome and not like anything I've done before. Booked out a few months in advanced though. Definitely recommend if looking for a 'hidden gem' type thing.
visit st kilda and make friends with the crazy smack heads
When are you going?
