It's a puzzle FPS game, similar to Portal from the video/screenshots. It looks pretty good.

      Ah my bad, I assumed 'public test' was part of the games title ie it was a puzzle game that tested the public's abilities and ranked them accordingly.

Thanks I'll give it a look. Interestingly through steam I don't see the option for the Beta only the purchase - but logining in through the web I can launch / add the game.

  Interesting .. seems to be a game based on traveling to 'worlds' / island covered in puzzles - beta is limited to 1 island / 4 puzzles .. quite fun very portal esque (without portals though) - bonus find all the stars I got all six.
  
  Also "Sigils of Elohim" is a free 'prequel' game that might be worth a look http://store.steampowered.com/app/321480/
