  I installed and entered the given key, but when using certain functionality it prompts me to upgrade, after all this is just a trial version it seems or at least basic version (probably that's why it is named as 'HE')

    It's not a trial version. HE is a special OEM version. Otherwise it is a full OEM version. Being an OEM version it does have some features disabled that the otherwise retail version has.

    If it was a trial then it would have an expiry date limitation which this doesn't as it's OEM.

      Yes it is not trial version but, certain features are restricted. (ex: HDR)

        Certain features disabled is normal for an OEM version of a Cyberlink product. If you want all features then you'll need to buy the retail. But since you didn't need to pay for the PhotoDirector 5 HE version then no loss. That's all i'm getting at.

  it freezes while installing c++ or something and when i tried reinstalling its showing me error msg
