It's owned by eBay so they probably already have your phone number? :P The phone verification is just to stop multi accounts, I have been using pinchme for months and they have never called or text my phone before.

I still don't understand how this makes them money. I love it, and I respect the brand more for doing it, but it doesn't necessarily make me more likely to buy it I dunno.
Its simple. You receive the sample, try it out, if you like it buy it if you dont then just move on to next sample! Its a bit of a lucky dip for the companies but its still worth a try.
I've bought a few items that i've received samples for in the past and liked. Items that I probably wouldn't have bought if I hadn't got the sample and realised it actually was a good product!

They would have otherwise spent that money on tv and newspaper ads, which costs tens of thousands of dollars and is not necessarily targeting to a certain market. With free samples those who are interested (i.e. target market) are already identified by signing up and if they happen to like the product they are likely to purchase it.
I wouldn't be surprised if the suppliers of the samples are paying Pinch Me.. The whole pinch me concept is such a great idea..
pinchme make $$$ with your personal information. as for procter&gamble, they are always giving out free samples. it is a part of marketing
