Credit Card Transaction - PROFECTUS INVESTMENT

Ive got a transaction on my credit card with PROFECTUS INVESTMENT which I cannot identify. Before I wait on hold for an hour with the bank, any idea who this could be?

If you need to wait on hold with your bank for an hour to ask about possible fraud then I think you should change banks. I've called CBA and GE Money in the last two weeks, hold time less than one minute.

Simple Google search shows a bunch of different options.

If you didn't make the transaction then call them up and report it.

  • This looks like the place: http://www.profectusgroup.com/

I see Dick Smith is mentioned there as using this system, not exactly sure what this company does though, hopefully this rings a bell.

    • Nothing jumps out at me from that website.

And have not been to Dick Smith either.

  • Or it could be this based in Malvern East. Cafe?

    EDIT:

Profectus Group has a different ABN than Profectus Investments:

    Registrant Profectus Australia Pty Ltd
    Registrant ID ABN 19096368008

    Profectus Investments is 17 137 536 611

    • Nope, have not been to any cafes in Melbourne.

    • Nope, not them.

  • you find out the answer?

    • Bank said it was a restaurant via paywave, could never find anything more. Let it slide.

      • if you have been to a restaurant then it is alright. but if it was somebody else then you'll get screwed again.
