It's most definitely a price error, given this game only just came out this year. Get it while you can :)

GamersGate account required (registration can be from any country, although the freebie link is only available on the UK site). Redeemable on Steam, available for Windows/Mac/Linux.

Edit: Deal marked as expired - however you can still attain the game but there are no keys left (Gamersgate does state they will supply the key eventually but due to the nature of this post nothing is promised).

      I dunno how far they'd go. Even if they removed it from your library, if say you redeemed it on Steam already/copied the code somewhere else…they'd have to go further then (get Steam to remove it and or invalidate those codes).

    They were giving the first one away for free some time back on… what was it… Humble Bundle, I think. I haven't even touched it yet. And that goes for a bunch of other games in my Steam account.

    Update: I may or may not have created an account. It's not letting me sign in. No error message, just not signing in.

    Update 2: Created a new account using a different email address. Creation worked. Clicked to send verification email. No email is being sent. Then it signed me out. Can't sign in.

    I give up. Gamersgate are amateur.

    Knowing gamersgate, they'll let it slide.. The last time this happened was Ghost Recon Future soldier, which was $2.84.. they cancelled the order and refunded the money.. however about 2 weeks later they sent out keys, probably because money had changed hands and the sale was considered final..

      If you can't get the steam key then you don't have the game because it's a Steamworks game title so it downloads and runs 100% through Steam.

    Guys, the game likely has been removed from your GamersGate library if you managed to get it for free (it has with mine). However, if you managed to copy the key beforehand, you can still redeem it on Steam (I just tried it myself).

      This is phase one of their damage control, to reduce their losses.

      Well i just made a backup of my steamapps, one folder in particular, in case any of my files of the DRM free Warlock 2 become compromised for some reason unknown.

      Anyway on Desura its popularity is rated 2788 of 2863 games.. So this promotion would have boosted the game ratings a bit :)

          well they can but they've labelled the game DRM free. When you force uninstall a game without the computers owners permission thats pretty much full on DRM abuse.

          Beta key is kind of different it's not a commercial retail game version and doesn't get registered on steam as Retail.

          Well all i can say is as of currently today Warlock 2 is still showing on my Steam library. If they were going to remove it would of happened by now.

          Best of luck to those who do get to keep it on Steam.

          Worst still they ripped me off. There is a badge you get on gamers gate when you buy a game for more than 80% off its RRP. If i had more time i would email support and complain the badge they short changed me.

    So after doing some research I've discovered that the site removed keys and are compiling a list of the auto generated ones which they're sending through to Steam for deletion, which is probably why if I try my key again it says that the key is invalid.

    Why I was lucky enough to be first I'm not sure, well liked I guess, but you folks will be next so enjoy the game while you can. A while back I read that you keep any Trading Cards or Achievements from games when they're removed from ones account, but I never verified. Anyone who cares for such stuff may want to start playing now to earn this little suckers :)

    Unfortunately, after the forced update of the web-site due to the bot attack that happened all over the web, we had a small glitch regarding the pricing for the game on our co.uk website and this game in particular was wrongly priced for 0.00. We have fixed the bug promptly and had to revoke the keys due to the obvious wrong pricing on it. Unfortunately, this will result in the keys being deactivated. We apologize for the inconvenience this has brought anyone

      If they do that revoke the keys on Steam then it would be the last time i use Gamersgate for any thing. There are others like Green Man Gaming. What they're doing could alienate those who were customers all for what was Gamersgate's own mistake.

        Not if, just when. It's happened before and will likely happen again. We all know Steam has no problem invalidating game keys so it should come as no surprise that they would do such a thing. Legally Steam must provide refunds to Australian customers, regardless of what they have in their EULA, but they don't.

        That said, this was probably good advertising. I imagine they had a huge number of new accounts created thanks to this glitch, probably sold a few extra games to impulse buyers. Anyone who won't use them for deactivating the Warlock keys likely never intended to use them for anything else, that's how they'd see it.

          Don't know. Did you play the game at all before hand or just leave it sit unplayed in the Steam account?. They might have been removing the game from Steam accounts that hadn't been played at all.

          Warlock 2 is still on my Steam account today.

          I still have the game on my account. I did install it and run it for 10 min as well at the time. Also I was an existing customer having may previous purchases on my account.. so maybe thats why - they killed new accounts that just went in for the free game?

          @Elijha: May be the case, but the company released a statement on their site saying they would be voiding the serial numbers as the "free" pricing was an error. If that's the case I would not expect them to leave some people with copies of the game as the company would still have to pay the developers.

          I jumped on the deal because I hoped it was free, I don't mind losing the game since it would have just been 1 more in a collection I may never get to play :)
