More Mile socks are pretty awesome.
Have also put a few hundred K's into the Cheviot 2 Trail runners, pretty happy so far, was going to switch out the stock laces with some quicklaces but haven't had issues with them holding/catching objects.
Only real problems I've found with the Cheviots are the cleats are probably a few mm's too high for most trails/hiking I've done. They are loud and sticky on road/anywhere man-made. And due to the tread being multi-directional (<<o>>) - they can be fatiguing on extended downhill sections because they grip so well.

These socks are terrible, they are hair and fluff magnets and do not breath well
These ones are comfortable, but low-cut
And these are my favourite socks of all time, ankle-height, wool blend, and ample padding for extended trail runs, average breathability
