Best Branded Powerbank

Hi all,

So my useless kogan powerbank broke down. In need for a new one, basically just need at least two ports, and fast charging. But most of all is the durability, a lot of the cheaper generic ones I bought always have dodgy USB connection issue after couple months i.e you have hold the usb cable so it can charge, and the powerbank will discharge battery fairly quickly on itself . Appreciate your input! Thanks!

I recommend the Xiaomi Portable Battery. You can get it for around $30 if you look around for deals here. Trust me, it's really durable and worth the money - it's really cheap too!

But be careful when you buy from ebay, there are many fake ones. Make sure you buy from a reputed Australian seller, so that you can verify online and if fake send back to claim refund!

      • @bobz729 Ahhh yes, spot on :)

        • Any idea where i could buy genuine one from? Seem to be out of stock in most EN site of Xiaomi..the chinese site doesn't seem to deliver to Aus.

P/S for some reason I couldn't load the mwave site too

    • Do any local shops sell the Xiaomi? Personally, among other things I don't trust E-Bay with memory stick, and power banks.

      • If local shops sold the Xiaomi, it'll probably be marked up/overpriced. If you don't like eBay, try buying the Xiaomi when a reputable seller posts a deal here, other members will probably be able to confirm whether it's legitimate through past experience.

      • These guys were selling it recently https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/162476 and seem to have gotten an extremely good response from peeps around here.

        • Thank you for the info.

      • mwave sells it for 29.99 + postage or free pickup

        • Thank you, will order one from them.

        • That is one beautiful product! Excuse me as I go add an alert for the Xiaomi powerbank.

  • Most of the powerbanks are larger and heavier than the the phones?

      @ dsm ninja

Correct you get 1 point today from ozbargain.

  • Also if you think about it,

The mobs that manufacture the phones and tablets that feature poor and diminishing battery life are most probably the same ones that manufacture and sell powerbanks!

    • That is because powerbank is considered a phone accessory :-)

Also putting a larger and heavier battery in phone will affect its size, portability and cost. So it is kinda counterproductive.

  • How long did it last? Months? What number of cycles?

  • any genuine seller on ebay we can find?
