you don't need to download just get it on the xbl market place. I have about 20+ games on queue to download on my 360. Which i probably never will. :-)

www.ozgameshop.com used to have pretty cheap deals ~$50/12 months, but I just had a look and they seem to be more like $60 now. I guess the drop in the exchange rate is flowing through.

Can you get these games on your account without an actual working Xbox? Mine isn't working right now, but I have a Gold membership that I can register.
You can purchase the game via the website within the free period, and then download any time after that.

On the web site it seems to require Credit Card info though even for a $0 purchase. From the Xbox 360 you can just download it without entering that information. After the Playstation Network fiasco I'm very cautious.
