New line of Nexuses(?) have been announced. Nexus 6 is a phone with a 5.92inch display. Nexus 9 is a 8.9inch tablet.
Nexus 6 specs It's not cheap this time around with the 32GB model priced at US $649, which is probably going to be $700 here. It has dual front face speakers.
Nexus 9 specs Starts at US $399, which like previous Nexus is likely to be $50 dearer here.
Nexus 9 is now available. The 16GB is $479 and the 32GB is $589 with an additional $20 delivery fee. 32GB LTE model is $719
Nexus Player This is a media player very similar to the Amazon Fire Tv in that it has voice search on the remote and a controller to play android games.
Ahh, Nexus 9 has caught up. I've been using my Pipo 9" Phablet (Octa-core 32GB) for a while now and have basically found no use for my laptop or Phone anymore. Especially when heading overseas. A 400g device is my phone, wifi / 3G device, laptop, torch, GPS (built in), USB stick and media player on the plane etc etc. Battery lasts 4- 5 days, Iphone or Samsung would cough out in a day. Cost me $250. Still get a bit of stick from my mates when people ring, but sooner or later I think it will be common place. Only need a phone when I'm heading out on the town, and any old cheapy phone will do. I'm happy with the Pipo, but if you need a name brand, the Nexus 9 seems like a winner.
