"Free" seems like a stretch considering it is just part of your subscription. It's good to keep Ozbargainers up-to-date with the latest games, but they're not really free. Same goes with PS+.

  As far as I know you get to keep them, unlike PS+ where you have to continue the sub.
  
  Edit: actually, I think you get to keep the 360 games, but the X1 games get locked out when your sub expires.

    You keep the Xbox 360 titles no matter what happens to your subscription.
    
    Xbox One Free Games with Gold will become unplayable if your subscription lapses.
