Inspired by Broadway superstar Audra McDonald's song cycle at Carnegie Hall, The Seven Deadly Sins, Avigail Herman's tale of modern morals is framed by songs featuring her stunning soprano voice.
The eclectic songs in Good Girl/Bad Girl contrast from the humourous Making Love Alone to the sad lament of I Eat. Fresh from Slide Cabaret Festival, the voice of Avigail Herman shines, accompanied by pianist Stephen Gray. Avigail plays author Jody, a writer who's been commissioned to write a book of short stories based on the seven deadly sins. Only three of those stories have been written and so ensues an evening of musical adventure and reflection.
