2009 Mazda 6 Luxury Sport Price

Hi guys,

First of all thank you everyone for answering my previous post, you guys have been so helpful=].

So after looking around all the cars I have decided to save some money to buy a second hand car instead. Friend of mine just upgraded her car so she's selling her 09 Mazda 6 luxury sport version with leather seats, Nav and Bluetooth. The car itself has done 75,000km and has been services every 10,000 km. She's said if I'm interested then just give her a bit over $17,000.

Just wondering is that a fair price? The tyres are new but 5k kms until the next service. Rego is until July next year.

Thanks

    Judging from this.

    It seems about right.

  • Usually a "friend" offers you something at near to the trade in price (not above retail price), having said that her k's are slightly lower than average so at least she's not trying to completely shaft you.

    • The one you showed was the luxury version, there is a small difference between the luxury and the luxury sports

I understand what you are saying though, a friend may be willing to part with it for lower.

  • Seems a fair price. At least you know the history of the car.

I've always been reluctant to sell cars to family and friends, even though I wasn't selling a lemon, a secondhand car is still a secondhand car.

I have sold one car to a friend, who is a mechanic and knows about the repairs I've made to the car. Sold it for the same price as I could have got trade in/lower than private sale.

It was a win/win, as I eventually purchased privately and I couldn't be bothered finding a buyers looking for a cheap turbocharged hot hatch.
