  Thanks. I just discovered that my Norton 360 will run out on Jan 2015. Didn't realise these things had a lifespan of a year so will install this in my new system instead.

  Do you have to install it within a particular period of time or can you install it in six months (for example)).

    Hm, good question. I've just sent a request to ask Bitdefender about it. Will be in touch once I have an answer

    Alternatively, can contact Bitdefender support + give your generated license + ask (if they don't get back to me)

  The annoying thing about BD is that you can't upgrade the client. If you're running 2014, you can't upgrade to 2015 unless you uninstall it (which is never clean) and reinstall the new one. It can't do a client upgrade.

  Everytime I do an uninstall, it's not a clean uninstall, even when I use their removal tool which still fails to remove some things. And then it affects the performance and boot time of the next IS I put on.

  Basically, I can only install BD off a clean format. Which I would need to do once a year.

      And I'm saying it's not very clean. And the next IS you put on boots slower. Format and put the same IS on, and it boots fast.. the problem is BD.
