  Good deal. The DC 44 isn't a huge upgrade over this I think anyway. The dc44 just includes the mini motorized tool and the standard turbo head is apparently more powerful. I think the suction is about the same. The battery lasts a touch longer on the dc44 bit not a game changer just a couple of minutes.

  Yeah, I'm leaning towards waiting for a good price for the DC59 as well, but haven't fully decided. Doesn't seem like a huge difference between this and the DC44 though, so I'm considering either getting this one or waiting for the DC59 to go on sale. It seems to be $499 everywhere, so hoping it will be doable to get it for 20% off at some future sale (ie around the $400 mark) as I really don't want to spend more than that.
