I guess they make these videos simply because they get views.
I think this type of video started out with 'drop tests', where the phone would be dropped from a metre or two onto its front, side and back. People who dropped their phone regularly could see if the new model was tough before purchasing it.
But obviously they're just trying to take this thing as far as they can. The average person will never accidentally drop their phone into liquid nitrogen and hit it with a sledge hammer, and of course it won't survive. It's just fun to watch for people who own the phone, or hate the phone, or sit their in raging jealousy because they want the phone but can't afford it.
I'm not really sure why the iPhone 6 is getting so much attention, I don't remember it with the last couple iterations, but perhaps I just wasn't paying attention.

I also heard the reviewer mention a .50 cal slug; now, given that Motorola et al. already use kevlar backs for some models, Apple better bloody well have some Dragon Skin on the back of these suckers!!! ;)

1) Who cares, if you're not interested, don't read the article..
2) Sites write articles to get eyeballs to their site to view the ads on their site and make money.
3) Any publicity is good publicity
4) You've just added a few cents to the ad revenue for the site and subsequently encouraged further articles just like the one you're complaining about because you've (presumably skim) read and linked to the article.I suppose the most salient question any of us should be asking is…will it blend?

yes if you see on the store they are looks good thin slim gorgeous, but it is because they dont put cover or case on.'Ozbargain' and 'new iPhone' shouldn't fall into the same category.

If you are jealous that you are craving an iPhone but cannot afford one should you really be venting your frustrations here?
Its not about affordability. This site is about getting the best value for money. iphone is exactly the opposite of that therefore there are going to be plenty of detractors on here. It simply is not worth what you have to pay for it and survives on blind followers and hype.
I can afford one. I don't want one. Better phones are available for much less. The money I save will help pay for our next overseas holiday.
Essentially you are paying hundreds of dollars more for something that is not better than the cheaper competition. Many of those who do buy iphones can't afford them either. These people are stupid.
Five years ago when iphones were a standout maybe it was logical to crave one. Not any more. I've had an iphone for the last 3 years and just changed to android. My new phone is a very significant improvement on the iphone I have just given to my daughter.
People need something to talk about. Iphone is not a bad topic. I am also interested on when new version of iPad will come out.
I moved to mi3 after 4 years on iPhone 4. Bought a iPhone 6 as a way to get back into the ecosystem, but now it's currently sitting on my desk and possibly getting returned soon. The thought of using iTunes again…

I used to think just that, until I tried Samsung Kies…unreservedly the worst piece of software I have ever used in my life, I kid you not! After trying it, you might gain a whole new appreciation for iTunes! :o
It hard not to like the iphone 6, it reminds me so much of my Nexus 4 many phones ago. Back when I thought a 720P screen was awesome and 1Gb of RAM in a phone was all I would ever need. Thanks for the memories apple.
When the 6S comes out, they'll probably just add an extra button and nothing else and everyone will go lady gaga over it

have many people actually seen users with iphone 6? I have to say on trains I don't see many.
I know a lot were sold over the weekend but I can bet a high percentage of those were purchased by students to sell overseas in china. There were reports of gold iphone being able to be sold for over $3k
