Looks like another price war between the big two, this time with bread. $0.85 gets you a 650g loaf of sliced sandwich or toast bread.

I buy at least 3 loafs a week. I probably save about $20 a year. Not bad.
I know this is tightass mecca and every little bit helps, but seriously- 5cents a day?!
What are you planning on doing with your extra 20 per annum?
Retire?Obviously buys a pack of Eneloops
How do they make bread so cheap? I don't think you can water down bread; can you?
Anything mass produced like that would cost very very little per unit of end product. Especially considering the ingredients of these loaves are basic, cheap ingredients to begin with.
What's so bad about Coles branded bread anyway? If it's short shelf life, have you tried leaving it in the fridge/freezer?
its only has a short shelf life because it contains 'No' preservatives.
Can you still buy bread that has preservatives?
Isn't the plastic bag a preservative? o_O
Isn't it ironic that the majority of comments in this thread are saying how bad this bread is for you, yet some of the deals with the most positive votes on the site are for fast food coupons?

I thought this as well. I've seen lots of WW ads on the tv and heard a few on the radio, they always end with "only at Woolworths" and I chuckle because they must have spent a long time and a lot of money this putting advertising campaign together and then on the day they release it both Coles and Aldi simply say "yeah, us too"
