Wow, that's a seriously ugly backpack!

    • +1

Yeah, but who's going to see it? Only the people you leave in your dust as you run to the next ozbargain :P

    • +4

ugly? Could you tell me the difference between this & an attractive backpack?

      • +6

exactly. I found it very charming. Almost arousing.

        • +2

Man, that was a lot of stuffing around, signing up, clearing the cookies, finally getting them for the right price.
    Still, great deal.

      … but its a bargain?

      cookies…

  • Thanks. Bought it using my $5 Paypal credit

I registered for that $5 credit and never got it. Apparently the $5 paypal credit promo was only meant for people in central America.

Last time Rays had a deal they only had about 4 in stock Aus-wide, yet their online system allowed many hundreds to add the item and make payment… Keep us updated if this happens again those who bought this.

    • I made an order for one black backpack at the Rockhampton QLD store and got my store pickup ready email this afternoon. Worked for me.

    • I got an email confirmation to collect and am going to pick up now.

    • 10 days and still waiting

  • me too just few hours after purchasing, they sent an email ready to pick up .

  • already picked up, not that bad looking bags for $5 each

  • Does any one know how long they give you to pick-up from store?. Some stores allow a week to pick-up but not sure about Rays Outdoors. Can't find anything on their web site saying how many days they allow.

    • When you order the pickup it says the store will hold for 7 days once available. so i assume once the order is filed and lodged and they hold it you have that week to get it.

      • Good no hurry then.

        • Pickup Information
          Store: Rays MyareeAll Products Valid
Your order will be available for pick up within 4 hours during store trading hours. Your order will be held for pickup at the store for 7 days.

4 hours so i hope by tom arvo (fri it'd be ready)

  • Thanks, ordered two. Don't know what i will do with second one. Not sure how big 20L is either, hope it doens't look silly on a full grown, 6'2" adult.

Question though: how did you find this member special?

Was it by the email newsletter? Just trying to find out so I can keep track of any future member sales as I"m a member also, but don't remember seeing this.

      Hi SaberX

Yes, it is in the email newsletter i received this morning. I didn't buy any but thought this would be of interest to some of our ozbargainers =)

      • ahh the one i deleted! haha drats. i checked and indeed your right. there's also a few dollars aluminium water bottle, i think that's the ideal bpa free material you can reuse unlike plastic water bottles? might grab on etoo if that's the case. :)

        • wont recommend the aluminium bottle..stainless steel would be much better

          Some quick info here…
          http://www.banthebottle.net/articles/battle-of-the-reusable-…

        • THanks for the advice. I abstained and will wait for a stainless steel too as there is ongoing debate that aluminiums bad but in general steel may cause distaste in some occasions but has had nothing negative linked to it.

Issue is i haven't seen a decent sale on a <800ml bottle you can slide into your backpack side pocket…. i.e. something not $20+.

  • Silly me only noticed the two links and not that the main photo goes to a black coloured bag.

Just thought I'd let everyone know incase like me you picked green over pink for obvious reasons, without knowing/noticing the black bag…. just pointing it out again.

  • Thanks, I just ordered three.

  • Seems all 3 different style backpacks are sold out online and only available in store. No more click and collect it seems or home deliveries.

    • Yea, it also gives me error. The payment cannot be finished!

      • I ordered to pick up in store.

  • I ordered yesterday and got my notification they are ready for collection today.
I will pick them up tomorrow.

  • Yep looks like click and collect is no longer an option - Ozbargained….

Anyone had luck ringing and picking up in store for that price?

    • The local store where i picked my backpack up from through click and collect the other day was also sold out on the shelves. I doubt any store still has any stock left.

  • I picked mine up on Saturday arvo (after lunch) and was all good. No more black packpacks at rays myaree when i asked if i could switch one of my greens for black as I originally ordered 2 greens 1 black… still good, they are smaller than what i imagined 20 litres would be but im sure i'll find a gym or casual use for it.
Good to knowthey actualyl do have stock when you buy it.
